Kicking off fall, 2012

We've had such a fun morning so far.

It started with late risers... oh so rare!

We quickly shed our jammies and headed out to watch for the neighborhood school bus to roll by!

It's the 1st day of school around here and excitement is in the air.

With breakfast bars in hand - we headed out to the driveway to {patiently} wait!

It's a beautiful morning .... and so we plopped down for a bird's eye view of all the school-aged kids lining up for the bus down the street.

And, finally - we could see the big yellow bus in the distance -- kids rushing, parents snapping pictures, and lots of hugs and waves!

Ms. R backed away as the bus approached, but Ms. K was SO EXCITED - waving to all our neighborhood friends!

We sure hope they have a great first day of school!

We're back inside, now.  And, I'm trying to take some advice my mom passed on to me this morning.....

After a very busy weekend away from home --- the laundry piles are deep, the bags to unpack seem endless, but that can all wait -- my girls rapid growth will NOT wait for all the housework to be done.

And, before long we'll be boarding that big yellow bus, too....

Yes indeed, mom -- the laundry can will wait.
