In true "mama wants to keep her baby a baby forever" form -- it made me very weepy.
I decided to look back at the twins 7 month post for comparison sake.
You can read about their 7 month birthday here. I actually remember writing that particular post and having very similar emotions.
Ms. A has had a whopper of a month!
When I wrote her 6 month post - she was sitting up very well unassisted....
The milestones she's met since that time have been quite amazing!
In reading about her sister's growth and development at 7 months ... she is most definitely ahead of where they were at that time. But we must remember she was 3 pounds bigger than they were at birth!
It was like we flipped a switch and she's suddenly able to {physically} do so much.
She's learned to sit herself back up when she falls.
She's learned to crawl.... this was a biggie!
She's learned to pull herself up against almost anything -- including the side of her crib. She actually practiced this between 3-4am last night for no particular reason. Silly baby.
She's learned to eat new foods - puffs, mum mums, yogurt melts, bananas, apple sauce, sweet potato, squash, prunes and baby yogurt.
She's learned to grunt at me when her tray is empty - more mama, more!
She's learned to follow her mama (via crawling) all over the house and then pull herself up against my legs when she finds me. She is so irresistible!
She's learned she feels 'alone' when someone leaves the room and leaves her behind.
She's learned to take a bath in the big tub with her sisters.... and by that smile... seems to quite enjoy it! :)
She has learned to WIGGLE her way around her room -- trying to avoid being changed. I can't believe I'm saying it - but she is MORE squirmy than her sisters were. Changing them was one of my most physical demands ... and Ms. A is putting them to shame. I'm back to gearing myself up for all diaper and clothing changes!
She's learned to be patient while her mama overcomes a nasty bout of mastitis. She never gave up on me and we are now {mostly} back to normal.
She's learned to go up on all 4's with her butt up in the air. This is priceless!
She's learned to say da, da, da, da, over and over again.
She's learned if she continues to wake in the middle of the night to eat - her mama just can't resist getting up to snuggle with her.
And she's also learned her sisters are going to call her "sweetie"... just like mama does.
Clearly - month 6 was a very full and busy month for the babe in our fam. Seems she is trying to prove she is going to try with all her little might to keep up with the rest of us.
Doing well so far - Ms. A!!
And a few nights ago -- as her daddy lowered her crib while I nursed her to sleep ... I just couldn't believe we were at THAT point in time.... already.
But we are here and we are so blessed to be watching her meet all her milestones.
A very healthy, happy baby -- that's what we've got!
She's so much fun and so entertaining ----- and we all love the pants off our silly little sister girl.
Cuz I'm the mama!

Happy 7 months to your sweet smiley girl!
