My sweet {big/little} girls... up at at em (with a little coaxing) before preschool this morning!
This is year #2 for them ... it felt much different because they knew what was up.
They were excited, yet still, a bit nervous and apprehensive.
Here they are chatting about what they were planning to tell their teacher, Ms. Aylsia, about summer vacation.
Daddy was able to go into work a few hours late.
I am pretty sure that is what made the girls so happy this morning!
From the get go - Ms. A knew something was up! A bit more fussy than usual.... just not sure what all the hoopla was about.
The girls did VERY well at drop off. Their little friends greeted them with such excitement and many smiles. That helped them feel very welcome.
After chatting for a few minutes we looked around to realize they were both off doing their "school thing".
We scooped up Ms. A and we were on our way.
I felt much more at ease this year.... knowing the ropes and knowing they were settling back in instead of everything being brand new.
Ms. A was not at all pleased to bit them farewell, however.
She has been my shadow all morning and so we're trying to stay busy.
We got right to work baking the girls a "First Day of School" cake!
Ms. A is a great helper!!
It's supposed to turn out looking "tie dyed".
We'll check back tomorrow with an update on the girls' 1st day AND how the cake turned out!
With love,
Cuz I'm the mama!
