Been very busy trying to settle back in around here -- but trying to fit in some fun, too!!
We've had a few fun play dates, spent countless hours playing in the yard and we're also getting reacquainted with our local parks!
Fortunately distance nor time has not come between my awesome group of high school friends. We always manage to find a way to get together at least once a year - and now with our 16 kids in tow!
This was taken at my good friend B's house in our hometown. We were all there (minus two kiddos) and as crazy as it was -- also so fun to see everyone and how much the kids have grown in one short year. Plus - we had FOUR new additions... and all four new babies are within a few months or weeks of each other!
Here are three of the tots (the first two are mine) enjoying watching the big kids swim. Ms. R was the most intrigued ... she stood with her umbrella watching them for over an hour! So cute! The girls have also been spending time playing in our front yard. We have very warm afternoon sun in the front of our house - so we typically have to get out early to play. We had little access to playing outside while living in Seattle - so this has been such a blast for them!
Learning to "share" the hose.
Enjoying the cool water on a very warm day.
We also took a trip to a local park over the weekend. We hadn't been there in over a year. The girls were able to maneuver all the equipment with ease, but swinging seem to be their favorite that day.
Another STEAMY day!
We found the perfect spot for Ms. A to relax while the big girls played at the park!! She was so happy just swaying away in the tire swing! And thankfully it was in the shade!
So - that's kind of what we've been up to ... in and around trying to unpack some of our final boxes. We still have much organizing to do and for {many} reasons I just can't seem to get to most of it on any given day. By day's end - the hubs and I pretty much collapse into bed realizing it will get done in due time!
We are gearing up for another very busy week of seeing friends, play dates, Ms. A's 4 month well-child check and of course packing for our big FAMILY-filled week at the lake.
Busy, but GOOD busy!
Oh - and happy to report Ms. K has been sleeping a tiny weeny bit later these last few days ..... and I continue to pray it will only get better!
With love,
Cuz I'm the mama!

Little A is just the smiliest baby I've ever seen!
ReplyDeleteI agree -- but thanks for noticing. She smiles so much throughout the day and she brings so many other people smiles because of it!! :)
