Sick babe :(

Here we (went) again....

Over the weekend I felt as though Ms. K was not quite her cheery little self. 

Just less energy....felt slightly feverish...more clingy than usual.

We chalked it up to the mouthful of teeth just "waiting" to pop through.

Middle of the night (Sunday) she woke.

And, woke feeling like steam was rolling off her head.

Panic, of course.

Daddy not home, of course.

Took her temp --- 104.8.

More panic.

Long story short...

And half a day at the doctor, later ---

Big news.

A virus.

They ruled out ears and throat right away...

Did a blood and urine workup.

Everything came back a-OK.

Which is good news.

Except for the fact that I still seem to have a very sad little babe.

Who wants to be held.

But doesn't want to be held.

All of the time.

She seems a tad better than last night ..... and her fever is coming down.

She slept from 4:30pm - 5am without much disruption.

Here's my sweet baby as were waiting for the Dr. to come in and see us...

She was trying real hard to give mama a smile.

But as soon as anyone walked through the door it was immediate meltdown.

Not only did they have to look into her ears 100 times -- and her throat, but THEN draw blood and get a urine sample.

The Dr. was not comfortable just assuming it was a virus with her very high fever -- still 104.4 when we arrived at the hospital.

So -- the little beauty went through a lot.

And, now, we are hoping to flush this virus right out of our house ......

...So that we are read to party with the big birthday boy (TURNS 5 TODAY) on Sunday!!

I simply can't believe Mr. G is turning FIVE.  He is such a handsome young man and sooooooooooooo good to his baby cousins!!
