We celebrated FIVE amazing wedded years over the weekend..... a simple day with our girls...
Feeling blessed beyond measure and chuckling at our "newlywed" selves from five short years ago.
As we boarded our return plane from our beautiful honeymoon in Maui -- we promised we'd be back to celebrate our 5 year anniversary.
It seemed like such a no-brainer.
Plans have changed a little bit since then -- and, although we know we'll go back to Maui .. "someday" ...
We were right where we were supposed to be on this special anniversary.

With our babies.
Celebrating and smiling - thinking of the next 5 years and how our "big dreams" may not be exactly what we plan - but, clearly turn out far better than we could imagine..
Here's to a LIFETIME of big dreams with my hubs -- AND our three daughters!
It's been a very full 5 years...... hands and HEARTS!

ReplyDeleteWe made our five-year anniversary return to Cancun (in 2004). The funny thing was, we were on such a budget when we got married, we thought the hotel was "so nice" and the food was "great". We went back five years later, and opted to stay in the same place, for the sake of memories. It was such a dump! Hahaha!
We'd planned to go back every five years...but we didn't exactly make it in 2009, when our girls were five months old! ;)
I don't know where we'll be on our 15-year anniversary, in 2014...but I'm already planning a family trip to Hawaii for our 20-year! The girls will be 10, so I think it will be perfect. :)
