Thousands upon thousands of beautiful tulips as far as our eyes could see!
We packed up the beauties early Sunday morning and drove about 60 miles north of Seattle.
Seemed everyone had the same idea -- as we waited in the long line spread far onto the freeway .... but it was definitely worth the wait!
Picture overload ... but it will be worth your time.
The girls taking their first up close look at the beautiful tulips.
Sharing in the excitement!
Ms. K was filled with JOY!
Ms. R taking it all in -- so much beauty!
Such beauty!
Taking a moment to smell the flowers with mama.
My beautiful Ms. K.
A little sister pep talk -- "come on Ms. R ... we've got miles to go" .. as our feet were growing tired.
The colors were breathtaking!
The LOVES of my life...
The purple tulips were a big hit!
Ms. R and daddy -- strolling along.
One last look back --
It was one of those near perfect family days. The girls in great spirits ... the weather absolutely gorgeous ... and the scenery ... well, speaks for itself.
Tulip Town is well known around these parts -- some people likely make the trip on an annual basis. For us -- probably once in our lifetime and we didn't want to miss out.
Tulips have always been a favorite flower and they were a big part of our wedding decor!
We weren't sure what the girls would think .. but they were quite captivated and we marveled at how well they walked beside us -- seeming to enjoy it just as much as we were.
Six months ago - we wouldn't of dared to chance this event sans stroller.
We commented it felt almost like we were on vacation ... it was that great of a day!
We contemplated driving back for naps, but time slipped away -- and we were having too much fun.
After a short nap in the car -- we stopped for a yummy lunch...
And then made our way back into the city -- chatting all the way home about our special day.
It's likely one of those memories we'll be reminiscing about long after we've moved home --
A day filled with oodles of flowers, our little family and so much fun!
A great reminder -- it's so important to STOP and smell the flowers as often as we can!
With love,
Cuz I'm the mama!

This entire post makes me think you are living in a Monet painting:)
