Boo! -- TAKE TWO!

It was such a beautiful, fall day for Halloween this year.

What a blessing considering the little ones often have costumes that are not made for a cold MN day.

After a quick supper (hard to convince them to EAT real food last night) -- we got back into our costumes...

The girls acting VERY silly before we headed out ... can I say SUGAR rush?!?!

We were out the door by 5pm to head to our favorite baby/toddler sitter's house.

They do it up BIG for Halloween - their house is very festive and they dress up their cats and dog, too!

At our first stop - the girls marched up to the door like old Halloween pros!

TRICK-or-TREAT!

Ms. R on the left - as Ms. Cowgirl - costume re purposed from last year's trick-or-treating in Seattle! She just wasn't into the whole dressing up as a doll idea. :)

Ms. K on the right - our little Lalaloosy Doll courtesy of Auntie Jen's birthday gift.  She on the other hand was very into her dollie costume!

They BOTH let me curl their hair -- this was a first for us and I LOVED it!

After our stop at neighbor Nikki's house - we headed over to a nearby cul-de-sac where all our friends and their parents were gathering.

One family volunteered their trailer so all the kids could be driven around the neighborhood.

For whatever reason - Ms. R wanted NOTHING to do with the trailer.  The instant she saw it she started crying with refusal to get on.

She opted for the red wagon instead - which worked out just fine! It was quite clear she wanted to be escorted up to each and every doorstep - like mama, like daughter??

Here she was wrapped up all cozy and warm with blankets.  Smart girl!

Ms. K agreed to the trailer - at first.

So brave with all those kids!

Later -- she figured out Ms. R had the right idea and hopped in the wagon with her.

Daddy escorted them around the neighborhood for about an hour - at which point hands and feet and noses and toes started to get cold.

Ms. A and I had already headed for home at that point - to hand out candy and keep the babe warm.

While I was busy in the kitchen -- Ms. A found her OWN way to trick-or-treat!

Like with most things - not about to get left out of all this fun!

We really enjoyed trick-or-treating with so many good neighborhood friends!

And - with another good friend, Alice in Wonderland (aka: Lauren) - who so graciously shared her wagon with us!

Overall - a really fun day and night!! It seemed the girls understood the concept a little bit more than last year.

The difference one year makes is incredible!

After getting home and warmed up last night we explained (again) they could pick ONE piece of candy and the rest would be waiting for another day.

They weren't too thrilled with this idea, but finally gave in.... Ms. R selecting a snicker bar and Ms. K a roll of SMARTIES. :)

Surprisingly they didn't get a ton of candy -- but we really weren't out all that long.

We'll definitely be spreading the sugar over the next few weeks to try and savor Halloween 2012 for as long as we can!!
